Located in Budapest, Hungary, The National Association of Radio Distress-Signaling and Infocommunications (RSOE) operates Emergency and Disaster Information Services (EDIS) have the objective to monitor and document all the events on Earth which may cause disaster or emergency.
They screen global information and store it in a central categorized and sorted database. After processing they publish immediately.
Click the image or here above to visit the LIVE Alertmap over at the RSOE's website. I must say, i know all these events look and probably are serious but i can't help but feel like i'm playing that Pandemic 2 Browser Game when i look at their map.
It's almost unreal that this is a free service available to anyone and everyone over the internet, it's something you'd expect to have to pay for. It's a really great tool for people who travel and anyone who doesn't feel like getting sensationalized nonsense from their television. Some of us just want the damn facts with no bullshit! Who'da'thunkit?
