i think this is the first time i've used
what a time to be alive," non-sarcastically. i suppose i was born early enough to see the end of the pre-internet age, and that makes some of this stuff still occasionally awe-inspiring but to someone born 10-12 years ago this is their normal and they never knew things were any different. shit, sometimes i myself even forget things were any different and i was around for 90s. anyway, the stream should be loaded by now so take a look below..
The High Definition Earth Viewing (HDEV) experiment aboard the ISS was activated April 30, 2014. It is mounted on the External Payload Facility of the European Space Agency’s Columbus module. This experiment includes several commercial HD video cameras aimed at the Earth which are enclosed in a pressurized and temperature controlled housing. While the experiment is operational, views will typically sequence through the different cameras.
you can also see when & where the ISS will pass by a certain location by visiting isstracker.com. hey, that's pretty neat!
